Heelflip Records is a grassroot Record Label and Promotions Business based in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
History
Heelflip Records was started in January 2024, by Benjamin Lane in Stroud. Benjamin, who plays in a range of bands, has a strong passion for the grassroots side of the large music industry. He started Heelflip Records to help fund other grassroots musicians projects- to give a chance of them making it in the music industry.
In November 2024, Heelflip Records launched their first show at the Exchange in Bristol. Since then, Heelflip Records has held a mass number of shows, from showcases to headlining events. These events largley focus on the bands/artists involved, allowing them to take a DIY approach to advertising their events.
As of early 2025, Heelflip Records is ran by 3 people- allowing Heelflip Records to offer a range of services such as live shows, recording funding and band photography.
BBC Gloucestshire and Stroud News and Journal
In April 2025, Heelflip Records were featured in Stroud News and Journal, helping spread the message of our goals to help grassroots musicians. This helped many creatives find Heelflip Records, allowing for us to grow and achieve our goals.
On the 6th of May, Benjamin was featured on the BBC Breakfast show- taking place at BBC Radio Gloucestershire. This allowed for Heelflip Records to spread our message even further, reaching people all over the South-West of England.
